Communication is essential to the success of any organization.  We live in an era where we are surrounded by methods of communication — computers, smart phones, watches, etc.  The Crescent City Lodge tries to make the best use of these tools.  This article is intended to try to summarize those communication efforts so you can get the most out of your FOP membership.

First, the National FOP has a website available to all of its 325,000 members.  There is plenty of information on the NFOP website and all members can register for access to the member only areas of the website.

Next, the Crescent City Lodge of the FOP has a website.  On our website, you can find a calendar of events, information relative to membership, links to the New Orleans Civil Service Rules, and links to our Facebook page and Twitter account.  There is also current information about the FOP Legal Defense Plan.  In addition, there are articles on specific topics and general information, such as minutes from the monthly FOP meeting.

The Crescent City Lodge also has a smartphone app which is available for Apple and Android phones and tablets.  The app can be found at the Google Play store or the Apple App Store.  The app provides handy access to useful information, including contact information for our attorneys and Board members and a calendar of events.  A link to the app can be found at the bottom of this article.

The FOP CCL2 smartphone app is sometimes used to send push notifications to our members.  Make sure to tell iOS or Android to allow notifications for the FOP CCL2 app.
