Officer Involved

I was recently contacted by Patrick Shaver, a police officer in a metropolitan Georgia police department, who is also a filmmaker.  Patrick is working on a documentary film entitled Officer Involved.  Officer Involved is a film on how officer involved shootings are perceived by the public and the impact those events have on the lives of the officers involved.  The film spends some time with NOPD Officer Jonathan Hirdes and his experience being the officer involved.

On Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at 7:45 p.m., there will be a screening of Officer Involved in New Orleans at Christian Brothers School.  This screening will be open only to law enforcement officers and their families.  There will also be a discussion with the filmmaker after the screening.

I would like to encourage officers to attend.  It has the potential to be very enlightening.

You can find more information on the film and the filmmaker here.

You can purchase tickets to the screening here.

You can find a map to Christian Brothers School here.
